The opening date for the Post Office on Kilwinning's Main Street has been confirmed.
A new counter will open inside Seymour Discounts at 1pm on November 14 - after almost a year without a Post Office on Main Street.
The store, which is operated by the same team which used to own Seymour Store and Takeaway in the Dirrans area, will be a welcome edition to the community who have been without a Post Office in the area since RS McColls closed at the beginning of the year.
Since then, the nearest alternative Post Office facility has been the one which is located on Sundrum Place in Pennyburn.
And though the wait will be a long one, the owners of Seymour Discounts at 36 Main Street say they are "absolutely over the moon and very excited".
