The North Ayrshire organisations which have received funding from the National Lottery's Community Fund have been revealed.

In this latest round of funding, over £11.8 million was handed out to various organisations.

In North Ayrshire, 16 causes obtianed funding of between £730 and £200,000 - with just over £475,000 handed out in total across the county.

Below is a list of the groups which obtained funding - and details of what the funding is to be used for:

  • 25 Group Royal Observer Corps Association - Received £1,000 funding - This group, based in Largs/Skelmorlie, will use the funding to convert their museum's Groundhog welfare unit to solar electricity.
  • Ardrossan Highland Games Committee - Received £9,821 - This group will use the funding to bring their local and surrounding communities together through their annual Highland Games celebration.
  • Arran animal rescue and sanctuary - Received £6,000 - This group, based in Arran, will use the funding to build a shed to host their animal rescue centre's volunteers, educational sessions, and public events.
  • Arran Community and Voluntary Service - Received £9,890 - This group will use the funding to maintain and enhance a network of befrienders in Arran, engaging initially fifteen volunteers. Activities will address loneliness and provide respite for carers.
  • Community Led Action and Support Project - Received £194,822 - This group will use the funding to continue and expand their Helping Older People Evolve (HOPE) project, a service for over 50's in North Ayrshire.
  • Fullarton Community Association - Received £200,000 - This group will use the funding for specialist staffing positions, enhancing and extending the provision of a comprehensive range of health and wellbeing services, as well as providing further inclusive community-led activities.
  • Irvine and Troon Cancer Care - Received £5,000 - This group will use the funding to run their free transport service for cancer patients traveling to hospital, therapy or clinic appointments across Ayrshire.
  • Irvine Cricket Club - Received £10,000 - This group, based in Irvine, will use the funding to create wheelchair accessible decking and seating outside their clubhouse giving more groups increased access to their facility.
  • Irvine Sports Club - Received £10,000 - This group will use the funding to deliver mental health support, training, and socialising opportunities.
  • Lockhart Campus - Received £8,922 - The group based in the Three Towns, North Ayrshire will use the funding to create a community outdoor kitchen, a seasonal growing space and provide multipurpose workshops on horticulture skills and cultivating produce
  • Marymass Festival Committee - Received £5,000 - This group, based in Irvine, will use the funding to deliver medieval-themed events during the Marymass Festival, which attracts thousands of people each year.
  • Marymass Folk Festival Committee - Received £730 - This group, based in Irvine, will use the funding to deliver a Folk Music Festival during this year's Marymass Festival.
  • North Ayrshire Book Festival - Received £5,522 - This group, based in Irvine, will use the funding to engage the local community in the 10th iteration of the local literary festival.
  • Southern Comfort Country and Western club - Received £1,650 - This group, based in Kilwinning, will use the grant to connect their community with a family fun day with music, dance, American-western style games and activities for children.
  • Stevenston Community Council -  Received £5,000 - The grant will fund the creation and installation of art murals by the local community. The project will bring the local community together while improving the local area in Stevenston.
  • Woodlands Senior Citizens Club - Received £2,200 - This group, based in Irvine, will use the funding to purchase equipment for their senior citizens' activities and to pay for accessible coaches for a group outing.
