A MAN has been arrested and charged following a series of alleged housebreaking incidents in Kilwinning.
Police Scotland confirmed the arrest of a 36-year-old male in the town in connection with the incidents.
They added that he was charged in relation to "other crimes of dishonesty" in the area.
He is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court later today, September 22, to face the charges for the first time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 36-year-old male has been arrested and charged with several recent housebreaking and other crimes of dishonesty in the Kilwinning area.
"The male is appearing at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court later today."
