Hayocks Primary School had a visit from Owl Magic at the end of September 2013 and pupils were able to get up close to the magnificent birds of prey.
THE future of a Stevenston charity for older people was assured following a half million pound funding boost from the Big Lottery. The HOPE (Helping Older People Evolve) Project based at the CLASP Resource Centre in Alexander Place helps older people remain independent in their own homes for longer and reduce the loneliness and isolation many experience.
Pupils at Garnock Academy were halfway through an eight-week learn To Row Course at Castle Semple Rowing Club in Lochwinnoch. The new initiative was created through a link established with Lesley Afuakwah, CSRC Junior Coach and Yvonne Veitch from the PE Department at Garnock Academy, Kilbirnie.
THE Ardrossan Sea Cadets were preparing to celebrate 21 years on the water. The company began their operations in November 1992.
