A man fell from a funfair ride at an Oxford fairground yesterday evening, sustaining near fatal injuries.
Sam Jones, 34, from Summertown fell from the popular Twister ride as he alighted at 7.30pm yesterday evening, sustaining two broken arms and a fractured a rib which almost proved fatal, his family confirmed. He was in attendance with his partner and three-year-old son.
He was transferred via land ambulance to John Radcliffe hospital immediately where he remains in a stable condition.
Local emergency services have been contacted for comment.
