A SALTCOATS man is awaiting his fate after assaulting his neighbour and challenging a police officer to a fight.
Brett Bryan, 47, pleaded guilty to two charges in relation to the incident when he appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
The altercation took place on October 11 close to Bryan's home address in Springvale Gardens.
Here, Bryan admitted that he assaulted his neighbour by lunging towards her and seizing her arm.
The Saltcoats man also pleaded guilty to one further charge of acting in a threatening or abusive manner.
Court papers state that he acted aggressively towards police officers by shouting, swearing, threatening one cop with violence and challenging them to fight.
Sentence was deferred until a later date and Bryan was released on bail.
