AN IRVINE man has admitted damaging the front door of an Ardrossan home by repeatedly hitting it with a hammer.
Donald Mullen pleaded guilty to a pair of charges when he appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.
The 32-year-old attacked the door of a property at Whitlees Crescent in Ardrossan on August 3 this year.
He admitted wilfully or recklessly destroying or damaging property belonging to another by repeatedly striking the door of a property with a hammer, while acting along with others.
Mullen also pleaded guilty to a charge of being in possession of an offensive weapon – the hammer in question – in a public place.
Sentence on Mullen, described in court papers as a resident of Arran View, Irvine, was deferred and he was released on bail until later in the year.
