TWO vehicles and a shed were deliberately set on fire in Saltcoats at the weekend, say police.

Emergency services were called to a report of a blaze on Dalry Road at around 2am on Saturday, October 21.

Police say they are treating the incident as one of wilful fire-raising and are appealing for the public's help as they try to track down those responsible.

Detective Constable Ashley O’Neill said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have information which could assist our enquiries to get in touch.

“We are particularly keen to speak to the drivers of three vehicles driving in the area at the time.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0412 of 21 October, 2023.

"Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have also been contacted for comment.
