Ferry company CalMac has warned the Ardrossan to Arran ferry service could face more disruption this weekend.

Strong winds have been forecast for Saturday and Sunday, October 28-29, and the Ardrossan-Brodick service could face cancellations.

In a Post on X (formerly Twitter) this morning, CalMac said: "The Ardrossan - Brodick service is liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice due to adverse weather on Saturday and Sunday.

"This is in relation to a forecast of strong wind conditions."

They added: "We’ll keep customers informed should there be any further changes in connection to this route.

"If you’ve not already done so, download our app or follow our Twitter @CalMac_Updates so we can provide you with timely updates, with the latest information we have available.

"Alternatively, you can also sign up to our service status text updates."

The service has been badly hit by weather conditions in recent weeks, with frequent cancellations.
