A NEW Chinese takeaway is set to open in Stevenston this weekend.

The 'Great Wok' will swing open its doors for the first time on the town's Station Road on Sunday, November 5.

Located only a short distance from Stevenston train station, the new takeaway will also be delivering to customers in Ardrossan and Saltcoats.

The new business will be opening from 4-10pm Sunday through to Thursday. It will be closed on Tuesdays - and remain open for an extra half hour on Fridays and Saturdays.

Their menu features favourite dishes such as chicken chow mein, chicken, beef and special curries as well as more traditional Chinese dishes such as dim sum, kung po and char siu.

Food offerings will also look to cater to varying dietary requirements with the menu featuring dishes suitable for vegans, vegetarians and pescatarians as well as an allergen key. It is also added that many dishes can be adapted to suit customers' needs.

Deliveries and collections will be available via walk-ins and phone calls, with a website in the works, with hope to launch later this year.
