A BUSY commuter road in Kilwinning is set to be closed for a period of time over remembrance weekend.
The road closure will be closed at Howgate between Lachlan Way and the traffic lights on the A737 Dalry Road.
The closure will run from 8am on Saturday, November 11 and 6pm on Sunday, November 12 to allow for ducting installation works.
All traffic will be diverted via the bypass with specific arrangements for buses to be announced.
Local traffic will also be able to access the town centre via the Blacklands from the bypass as well as Woodwynd.
Any roadworks still operating on Byres Road will be removed over that weekend.
The roadworks, set to be carried out on behalf of BT Openreach, have been rearranged since initial details were announced.
