AN ARDROSSAN man is being accused of embezzling cash from a primary school parent council.
Euan Watterson is accused of stealing money from the parent council of St Anthony's Primary in Saltcoats.
The alleged incident dates back to 2019 and covers an 11-month period between January 15 and December 19 that year.
The charge alleges that Mr Watterson, of Parkend Road in Ardrossan, embezzled a quantity of money during his time as chair of the parent council's fund.
The case called at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week, but Mr Watterson was not present at the hearing and no plea was entered on his behalf.
The sum alleged to have been embezzled was not stated in the charge.
The case will recall later this year.
