Alzheimer's Scotland have released details of their events and group meetings in North Ayrshire during December.

Their community groups are there to be enjoyed by anyone living with dementia or experiencing difficulties with their memory, including their families and friends. All are welcome.

People who can attend independently and/or, for those unable to do so should come with a companion who can provide any support for them.

They are unable to transport for these groups and therefore it is your responsibility to get to and from this community activity, safely.

They are also here for you with a warm drink, food and company.

If you are unsure, or have questions about any of the groups, or have an idea for a new group, please let us know.

The events are:

Talk of the Town: Thursday, December 14 (second Thurs of the month) at The Vennel, East Rd, Irvine from 1.30 -2.30pm.

Football Reminiscence: Tuesday, December 19 (third Tuesday of the month) at  David White Community Hub, Saltcoats from 10.30am-1noon

Musical Memories: Thursday, December 21 (third Thursday of the month) at High Kirk, Kirk Road, Beith from 2-3pm.

Events which are usually held in the fourth week of the month will not be held in December due to the festive season.

These include the Largs drop in and Largs carer support groups, the carer support lunch at Whitlees Centre, Ardrossan and Tea and Blether at the David White Community Hub, in Saltcoats. These will all return in January.

The online groups meeting this month include Carers Cuppa from 2-3pm on Thursday, December 7 and the regular quiz on Wednesday, December 13 from 2-3pm.
