Historic Kilwinning Abbey has been targeted by firebugs and vandals again.
And police have urged residents to report any suspicious activity around the Abbey as they investigate the recent incidents.
Police Scotland Ayrshire said today: "Officers from North Ayrshire Locality Policing Teams have received several reports of damage and fires set at Kilwinning Abbey in the past few weeks.
"The Abbey is a Historic Scotland site dating back to the 11th century.
"Police are requesting any suspicious activity to be reported via 101 or Crimestoppers."
Last year the Abbey was damaged by graffiti and vandals removing retaining wall stones.
There were repeated complaints of incidents of anti-social behaviour at Kilwinning Abbey - including youngsters targetting a litter-picking volunteer while burning a bin on the site.
Earlier this year, racist and homophobic slurs were daubed on the Abbey tower's heritage centre. And this year, vandals were seen throwing rocks at the walls of the building.
The Abbey is protected as a site of national importance.
