CalMac have announced ferry timetable changes for the Ardrossan to Brodick service tomorrow due to weather conditions.

The ferry operator says that strong winds will require the MV Isle of Arran to berth on the Irish berth at Ardrossan on Tuesday night.

That, CalMac says, means the route's second ship, MV Alfred, will have to relocate to Troon to berth overnight on Tuesday.

That means that tomorrow (Wednesday, January, 10), the ferry due to depart from Ardrossan at 8am will  be delayed until 11am, and the ferry due to depart at 9.30am from Brodick will now leave at 12.30pm.

All other sailings on the route will operate as scheduled.

The two vessels are currently providing cover on the route while the regular ship, MV Caledonian Isles, is away for annual overhaul.

A CalMac spokesperson said: "We’ll keep customers informed should there be any further changes in connection to this route.

"If you’ve not already done so, download our app or follow our Twitter @CalMac_Updates so we can provide you with timely updates, with the latest information we have available. Alternatively, you can also sign up to our service status text updates."
