While ferries between Brodick and Ardrossan may be cancelled, there will be at least some sailings from Arran today.
CalMac has revealed they plan to resume sailings from Lochranza to Claonaig, starting with the noon sailing from Arran.
A spokesperson for the company said: "Due to the current weather, service will operate on a sailing by sailing basis. Please note that sailings will remain liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.
"We'll keep customers informed should there be any further changes in connection to this route. If you’ve not already done so, download our app or follow our Twitter @CalMac_Updates so we can provide you with timely updates, with the latest information we have available.
"Alternatively, you can also sign up to our service status text updates."
