CalMac have cancelled sailings between Ardrossan and Brodick due to poor weather conditions today - but are hopeful that services will resume this evening.
The company confirmed that crossings from Brodick at 1.50pm and 4.40pm would be cancelled, along with sailings from Ardrossan at 3.15pm and 6pm.
But the company are hopeful that services will resume with the 7.20pm departure from Brodick and hope to add an extra sailing from Ardrossan at 8.30pm tonight (Sunday, January 28).
As the vessel will then berth in Brodick overnight, tomorrow's 7am sailing from Ardrossan has been cancelled,
Weather permitting, service will resume with the 8.20am sailing from Brodick.
A CalMac spokesperson said: "Disrupting a sailing is a decision we do not take lightly because we know it will inconvenience our customers and the communities we serve.
"However, the safety of our customers and crew must come first. In this instance, the Master of the vessel has judged it is necessary in response to the assessment of adverse weather conditions.
"We’ll keep customers informed should there be any further changes in connection to this route."
