An Ardrossan man has pleaded guilty to assaulting his partner and striking her with a car door.
Stuart James Johnston, 54, of Park View in the town, pleaded guilty to one charge following the incident on November 17 last year.
Johnston was said to have assaulted his partner, repeatedly kicking the door of a car causing it to strike her on the body, leaving her injured.
He was slapped with a non-harassment order for 12 months and forced to pay £800 in compensation.
