AN EMPTY shop unit in Saltcoats is heading to auction later this week.
The premises on Dockhead Street, formerly home to Shoe Zone, have been lying empty since January last year, following the shoe retailer's decision to leave the town.
The premises is now heading to auction with Future Property Auctions on Thursday, February 1.
A guide price of £105,000 has been set, with bids now being accepted.
The full building, which covers more than 3,600 square feet, was previously sold for £400,000.
The unit is described as being in a 'prime position' in Saltcoats town centre, and comes with a main retail area, storage and office space, and a toilet.
