A Stevenston man has been disqualified from getting behind the wheel after he admitted driving his van dangerously with its rear doors unsecured.
Martin McClelland, 36, whose address is listed as being in the town, pleaded guilty to endangering other road users when he appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on January 30.
McClelland was said to have driven his van at excessive speed on Sannox Drive, Adams Avenue, Links Road, and throughout Saltcoats, on November 5, last year.
Court papers state he drove his van dangerously, which had a quantity of work tools and equipment inside the unsecured rear doors.
He also drove his van at excessive speed above 30mph, and exposed other road users to the tools and equipment "being ejected from the van".
McClelland was fined £670 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
