North Ayrshire dog owners have been warned they could face fines of up to £80 if their pets run around loose in cemeteries - or on a lead longer than 1.5m.
New signs went up in the Ardrossan cemetery recently warning only dogs on an appropriate lead were allowed to enter.
No extendable leads will be allowed in the grounds - and dogs are not allowed on the grass.
And as always, if owners fail to pick up their dog's mess in the cemetery, they will also face an £80 fine.
