A Saltcoats man has pleaded guilty to setting a bin on fire in the town more than three years ago.
Stephen Gillies McInnes, 63, of Canal Street, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court to admit his guilt following the incident on November 19, 2020.
The charge stated that he "wilfully set fire to a bin" in Vernon Street, with the fire taking hold and damaging the bin and its contents.
Sentencing was deferred until later this month.
