A MAN has appeared in court in connection with the death of Saltcoats man Alan Lawson.
Bryan Carey, 27, appeared in private at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, February 28.
He has been charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
Mr Lawson, 36, in hospital on Tuesday, February 6 following reports of an alleged incident at a property in Alexander Avenue in Largs three days earlier.
Mr Carey, of Ardrossan, made no plea or declaration in relation to the charge during his brief court appearance, and was released on bail.
He was committed for further examination pending a further court appearance on a later date.
Police Scotland announced earlier on Wednesday that a 27-year-old man had been arrested in connection with Mr Lawson's death.
