ARDROSSAN man Ajaib Singh celebrated his 100th birthday this month with family and friends.
Ajaib received a card from the King and Queen and enjoyed blowing out the candles on his fantastic birthday cake.
Now living in Castle Road, he first came to Scotland from Africa in the mid-1960s, and spent part of his working life on board the Clyde-built Cunard liner Queen Elizabeth 2.
His son Simon, who runs the Nisa store in the town's Glasgow Street, said: "Dad has nine children and the family are now spread across the west of Scotland and London.
"He really enjoyed his big day."
Congratulations to Ajaib from all at the Herald.
