SOME of North Ayrshire's best young rugby players got their mops, buckets and sponges out to raise money for charity recently.
The Ardrossan Accies under-14 squad raised more than £1,000 for the Glasgow Children's Hospital charity with a car wash outside the Memorial Field clubhouse.
Supported by parents and the rugby club members, they spent the day leaving cars gleaming.
And their hard work saw them raise a total of £1,116.73.
The cash will go the Glasgow Warriors Fighting For our Families Campaign, which is supporting the hospital.
The club said on their Facebook page: "What a busy day our U14 Boys and parents had hosting a car wash to raise money for Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity through Glasgow Warriors Fighting For our Families Campaign.
"They raised an outstanding amount £1,116.73 to be added to the pot.
"Thanks to all came along, got involved and to Struan for capturing the day."
