Saltcoats will host a family event this weekend, giving everyone the chance to build their own birdbox.

Organised by the town's Seasalt Streets group, in partnership with The Conservation Volunteers, it will also allow Three Towns families to get creative and make their own butterflies and seed bombs at the craft table.

The event will be held this Saturday, April 6 in Dockhead Street, Saltcoats, outside the old church from 10am to noon, then 1pm to 3pm. It will be open to children aged 16 and under.

Space are very limited for each session, so please book your place as soon as possible via the Seasalt Streets Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/577858497132997/

There will be one bird box per family group and 10 boxes per session. Chlldren must be accompanied by an adult at all times and there will be other activities available that don't need to be booked.
