A POPULAR community event in Kilbirnie showcasing the work of the emergency services is returning to town later this year.
And the organisers are keen to invite local non-profit community groups and charities to take part in the 2024 event.
The previous emergency services days, organised by staff at Kilbirnie's ambulance station, have been a big attraction in the Garnock Valley.
The free events, spread across the town’s ambulance station, fire station and Scout hall, also featured a host of local groups and organisations providing information on their work.
Visitors got a chance to check out a wide range of specialist vehicles, including fire appliances, police vehicles old and new, and ambulances, including the Special Operations Response Team, Strathclyde 4x4 Response and the Scottish Emergency Rider Volunteer Service, as well as meeting the coastguard team.
This year's event will take place on Saturday, August 10 from 11am until 4pm.
Joel Gray, manager of the ambulance depot in Kilbirnie, is once again organising the big day.
He said: "We've had wonderful support from the public and trust that once again it will attract a large number of visitors to enjoy this event.
"I am keen to invite local non-profit community/charitable organisations within the Garnock Valley to display at the event and highlight their work and perhaps raise funds.
"I would be pleased to hear from any clubs, groups or organisations wishing to take part this year."
