A POPULAR Dalry shop has announced plans to close later this year.
The owners of Second Time Around, an upcycled furniture and preloved items store, have confirmed that they would be leaving their location on New Street.
It comes after a decision was made that the running of a physical location was "just not feasible".
The shop will still, however, remain in operation until mid-July.
Owners Yvonne and Stevie, who both work in other jobs, say that operating the store has "caught up" with them.
A statement posted on their social media said: "After much thought, we have decided to close. It wasn't an easy decision for us to make, but it is the right one for us.
"We have loved being part of the Dalry community, getting to know people, some of whom have become regular customers, and for that we can't thank you enough.
"The shop 'thing' just isn't feasible for us, as we both also work in other jobs.
"Trying to work around this, keep the shop open, upcycle, create, collect, deliver and keep up to speed on social media has eventually caught up."
However, the duo have vowed to continue in their endeavours even if this is away from their current location.
They continued: "However, all is not lost its merely time for a change of direction so I will continue to upcycle, and make my smaller pieces.
"I can do this at my own pace, without the pressure of needing to open the shop and everything else that entails.
"Yes, we did know this from the start, and gave it our best shot, but it's just not for us. We both feel the load has lightened already.
"There are other possibilities out there that will suit our circumstances much better."
They also added further thanks for the support offered by the community during their time in operation - and told customers to keep an eye out for some bargains ahead of closing time later this year.
They added: "It has been a blast, and lovely getting to know everyone.
"From Stevie and myself, thank you ever so much for all the support you have given us from day one.
"We don't officially close until the middle of July, so pop along, you might get yourself a wee bargain. We have a lot of stock to move."
