Police in Stevenston have seized an off-road motorbike in the Shore Road area of the town.
On Friday, May 17, officers from the Three Towns Locality Policing Team seized the vehicle in connection with being used on public roads and land.
The 14-year-old male rider and his parent will be reported in connection with road traffic offences, and a report will be submitted to the relevant authorities.
Sergeant William Hutchinson, Three Towns Locality Policing Team, said: “Off-road motorcycles do not belong in our public parks or on our roads.
"They present a danger to pedestrians, other vehicles and, in the hands of an untrained rider, can have serious consequences.
“Please be considerate of residents, visitors, dog walkers and the impact this behaviour can have within your community.
