The Ardrossan Highland Games returned in fine style on Sunday.
Big crowds came along to enjoy the fun of one of the biggest annual events in the Three Towns' calendar at the Memorial Field.

Saltcoats man Glenn Turner was the Chieftain of the 2024 Games, presiding over the day's events.
He received his shepherd's crook following the grand parade of former Chieftain's from the Laurieston Hotel to the field for the official opening of the Games at 1pm.
Though there were already plenty of locals enjoying the day, with the event opening the gates at 8.30am.
Visitors were treated to amazing Highland dancing displays, pipe band and solo piper competitions and, course, the always popular heavy events, including caber tossing.
And there were stalls galore from community groups and businesses as well as fun fair rides for the wee ones
Once again, the Games committee handed out more than 2,600 free tickets to Three Towns primary schools.
New Chieftain Glenn is a well known local businessman, who has spent many years volunteering with local organisations such as SeaSalt Streets, the Saltcoats Active Lifestyle Team and Ripple Effect.
Thanks once again to the Games committee for their hard work in setting up such a fantastic day for the community.
We're already looking forward to next year's Games.
Look out for more great photos of the big day from Charlie Gilmour in the coming days - and more in this week's Herald, out on Wednesday.
