Sailings from Ardrossan to Arran today (Tuesday, July 9) have been cancelled due to weather conditions, with a reduced service now sailing to the island from Troon.
Ferry operators CalMac blamed strong Easterly winds for the cancellations.
The MV Isle of Arran's amended timetable from the South Ayrshire port is:
Depart Troon – 11am, 4.20pm
Depart Brodick – 12.50pm, 6,10pm
A bus service will be in place to transport foot passengers if required as below:
10.30am: Troon Port to Troon Station to Ardrossan.
11.55am: Troon Port to Troon Station.
12.55pm: Troon Station to Troon Port.
2.10pm: Troon Port to Troon Station to Ardrossan.
3.20pm: Ardrossan to Troon Station to Troon Port.
7.30pm: Troon Port to Troon Station to Ardrossan.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 10, the 7am sailing from Ardrossan will now depart from Troon at 6.40am due to the vessel berthing overnight in Troon
Sailings thereafter will operate as timetabled to/from Ardrossan.
The island's second ferry MV Alfred has been using Troon for months now following the closure of Ardrossan's Irish Berth by owners Peel Ports.
