A SALTCOATS town centre pub has been listed for sale - with a new asking price.
The Victoria Bar on Raise Street was first brought on to the market back in 2019, as part of a group sale.
As well as the boozer itself, the sale also included the adjacent retail space - which is currently leased to Cain's Sandwich Bar - the upper floor areas, and land to the rear and side of the building.
The decision was one which was taken by current owners, former Kilmarnock FC Captain Raymond Montgomerie and his brother and local councillor Jim.
The pair decided it was time to move on from the business, with no plans to keep the bar in the family. The Montgomerie's have been the operators of the business for nearly 60 years - having first been opened by the family in 1965.
Despite the whole building being up for sale for over five years now, a buyer is yet to be found.
The group sale remains live online with chartered surveyors DM Hall, though now with a reduced asking price of £315,000.
However, in recent weeks a separate listing has also gone live with DM Hall for the sale of the pub on its own.
Offers of over £110,000 are now being invited for the Victoria Bar, along with the goodwill, fixtures and fittings for the business.
The listing is available to view online in full at dmhall.co.uk/properties/for-sale-established-town-centre-pub-saltcoats/.
