(Image: Newsquest) Two heroic lads saved a disabled man’s life when they pulled him from his burning home in September 2009. Nick Fecou of Ardrossan and Justin Hughes of Saltcoats rescued Norman Thomson from his smoke-filled Ardrossan home after Justin jumped into the house through a window with no regard for his own safety. Their bravery was hailed by Ardrossan Fire Station’s watch commander Mark Gallagher.
