Brexit leads the papers on Thursday as Prime Minister Theresa May offered MPs new assurances over the backstop if they back her deal.
In a dramatic day in Westminster, MPs also backed an amendment requiring Mrs May to set out a Plan B if her Withdrawal Agreement falls in the Commons.
The Times leads on Mrs May’s Brexit plans, which the paper says are in “tatters” after Conservative remainers discussed an alternative with their Labour colleagues.
The Daily Telegraph leads on criticism of Speaker John Bercow, who is said to have “seized control” of the Brexit process from Mrs May.
The Guardian runs with reports of Mrs May’s power “ebbing away” after “another humiliating defeat”, as her room for manoeuvre was lessened if her deal falls.
