ROVERS overpowered the visitors to move into second place.
The deadlock was broken midway through the first half when Mark "Chuck" Kilpatrick found space inside the box to calmly stroke the ball home.
The second goal came courtesy of Stewart Templeton Morgan who went on a solo run down the left and netted.
A well-worked corner from Justin Smith was controlled and thundered into the top corner from the edge of the box by David McLeod to make it 3-0.
The fourth goal came from Mark Duncan, who laced the away defence for pace and rifled the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
Castle man-of-the match, sponsored by Spicy Hut, Ardrossan was Stewart Templeton Morgan.
