Cumnock U13 0
Kilwinning FA U13 9
SATURDAY saw the girls travel to Cumnock on a high after last week's Scottish Cup win.
The girls started very quickly and took a commanding lead which set the tempo for the rest of the game.   After 10 minutes we made some changes to rotate personnel but the girls kept the pressure on and by half time the girls had done more than enough to ensure that the points were coming home to Kilwinning.  We finished the match strongly and it was a well deserved victory to remain unbeaten in the league and with maximum points so far.
Meghan got the referee's player of the match award but the ref said any girl would have been worthy of such an accoladKILWINNING started off on the front foot going into a deserved two-goal lead, before Bonnyton struck on the break to get a goal back. After tha the girls re-focused and got back into their stride with some great all round team play and their passing and movement was really well executed.
They went on and made our mark on the rest of the game with some great goals from Naiomi, Kerris, Lucy & Holly.
Well done to all eight girls for their effort and overall team play.
KFA Girls U17s 10
Giffnock Girls U17s 1
IT was an early start today for our U17 girls as we travelled to East Wood Park.
Straight from Giffnock's kick-off, the girls applied pressure and forced their players into their 3rd of the park. This soon proved to be very effective as Giffnock's goalkeeper made a mistake and we were rewarded with a goal, courtesy of Caitlyn. 1-0. This seemed to shake the home side into action as they defended well, their keeper making a good few saves.
The girls were quick to adapt to this however and our efforts were rewarded with a penalty, calmly slotted in the net by Holly after a good 1st attempt save from their keeper. Giffnock, now two goals behind, pushed forward and found a break between our defence, and with a high ball overseeing our back line, they scored.
Although Giffnock made signs of pressing forward, our defence were quick to deal with it and then proceeded to either make brilliant runs down the lines or switch the play, introducing the players on the far line and creating space for an attack. Goal scorers included: Nicole Wilson, Scarlett Ross, Holly Hart, Caitlyn McMillan and Beth Baird.
KFA Inter 1
Tass Thistle 3
A GAME of two half’s today on a lovely morning at Amswall, with Inter controlling large majority of the first half, taking an early lead through Mikey Love, after numerous chances couldn’t quite get that second goal when pushing forward just before half time, after a good interception from Tass LB, they broke, countered and scored with one of their only chances in the first half.  With it being a more end to end even contest in the second half, it was all down to Tass taking their chances and us not taking ours. All in all a good performance from the boys.
