A FORMER world darts champion and ace player from the Three Towns showcased their skills at a special event held in Ardrossan at the weekend.
Wilbur Darts Promotions hosted The Pride of Scotland exhibition in Ardrossan Civic Centre on Saturday with more than 220 darts fans packing in to enjoy the action on the oche.
Two-time world champion Gary Anderson, Ardrossan's own Robert Thornton - a three-time major winner and emerging tour players Cameron Menzies of Muirkirk and Aberdeenshire's John Henderson took part in the event, which saw top local players including Kevin McKinney from Ardrossan and Irvine's Willie Laird facing the professionals.
The top pros took time to sign autographs on the night.
On the night £500 was raised towards further treatment for Irvine youngster Jackson Waddell, who suffers from cerebral palsy and recently had treatment in the United States to help him walk.
Organiser Willie Burns said: "The event went really well and thanks go to everyone who came along."
