LEGENDARY junior footballers including Beith, Kilwinning Rangers and Kilbirnie Ladeside defender Neil Shearer and ex- Irvine Meadow back-up goalie Brian Hewitt are among those starring in a special event next week. New Western Park in Renfrew will play host to the Legends Seven-A-Side Tournament on Saturday, June 15,.

Main sponsor for the day is The Arthurlie Inns who have supplied all the awards, McBookie.com who have sponsored the trophy, and Scottish Water. Kick-off is at noon. Entry is £4 adults, £2 OAP’s kids and unemployed go free, all money to Nil by Mouth. Sixteen squads will be split into four groups with the winners playing the semi-final then final. Games will last 15 minutes and there will be no half-time break, but rolling subs. Games are played across the park so three games will be on at once.
