GARY MCALLISTER is confident Rangers can strike the right selection balance as they handle the demands of competing at home and abroad.
The Light Blues switch their focus to the Betfred Cup this evening as they face Falkirk.
It is the latest match in a hectic schedule that has seen Steven Gerrard's side make an impressive start to the campaign in the Premiership and Europa League.
The likes of Allan McGregor, Ryan Kent and Kemar Roofe could be rested against the Bairns and assistant McAllister said: "We want to continue the run we are on and we are very wary of that. We do have a big squad and we have players who are itching to get on that park.
"There will be a bit of a mix but we totally respect the opponent and we can’t just think we can make wholesale changes, there will be changes and we will freshen up from Thursday night. There was an almighty effort on Thursday, the running and the effort shown on that pitch which was a wee bit heavy as there was a lot of rain this week.
"We will go to Falkirk with a strong side and be very wary that we can’t just expect to turn up and win the game easily.
“The rotation is key, the fact is we do have cover in every position and it’s about keeping people fresh. With the modern day player there is more acceptance to the fact you can’t play every minute of every game.
“When I played, I wanted to play every minute of every game but the demands weren’t as great as they are now.
“The fact we are playing Thursday-Sunday, Thursday-Sunday, there has to be rotation and that’s something modern day players accept. The demands can’t be that they play every second of every game."
