Kilbirnie Ladeside co-manager Thomas Molloy says a victory was always coming for his side after they demolished Hurlford United 5-0 at the weekend.
The Blasties went into the West of Scotland Football League Premier Division match looking for their first win in six league matches.
They took a commanding lead in the first half with a goal from Alan Frizzell and a double from Jon Scullion giving them a healthy lead going into the interval at Valefield Park.
In the second half, they did not rest on their laurels with David Anderson’s goal and Kyle Girvan’s header sealing a crucial victory for the hosts as they look to avoid the drop.
Speaking to the Herald, Molloy said:”To be honest a victory has been coming with how have we have been playing.
“I was delighted for the players because they have been due a break and they got it at the weekend.
“But to a man, we were different class at the weekend.
“Every person, including the three subs who came on, played their best they have as a group all season.
“Hurlford are good team and are having a great season, so it is a brilliant result."
