Beith manager Bryan Young praised striker Kenny McLean after he netted in their dramatic 2-2 draw with Troon at the weekend.

It took until the second period for the first piece of action in the West of Scotland Football League Premier Division clash.

It came for the away side, when Sam Jamieson fired Troon into the lead not long after the restart.

However, it did not take too long for the Mighty to roar back with Jordan Duffy heading in an equaliser.

It looked as if the Seasiders were going to grab the win when Dean Fulton restored their lead with nine minutes to play.

However, Kenny McLean bagged a late equaliser in the 87th minute to once again level proceedings.

Some more late drama saw Troon’s Jack Sherrie and Beith’s Jordan Duffy both shown red in injury time.

In the end, it finished all square with both sides picking up a point a piece at Bellsdale .

Speaking to the Herald, Young said:”Kenny does what he does.

“He just finds the net constantly now, it is just ridiculous.

“His figures for this season are a joke to be honest with you.

“It is just incredible what he is doing at the moment.”
