Two teenagers were arrested last weekend for coronavirus rule breaches following reports of a party at a property in Glasgow Street, Ardrossan.
Police officers were called to the property at 4am on Saturday, March 6, and arrested a 17-year-old female and a 17-year-old male.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed the news to the Herald and said: "Two people, a 17-year-old Ardrossan woman, and 17-year-old Irvine male have been arrested and charged with breaching COVID regulations after police were called to reports of a party at a property on Glasgow Street, Ardrossan at 4am on March 6 2021. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal for consideration of prosecution."

Police officers also issued 27 fixed penalty notices in North Ayrshire over the weekend of March 6 and 7 - the most issued in one weekend since the pandemic started.
