A THREE Towns man has been fined after admitting acting in a threatening or abusive manner and assaulting police officers.
Scott Rooney confessed to punching a male constable on the body on May 26 at Miller Road in Saltcoats.
On July 20, within a police vehicle, the 26-year-old repeatedly acted in an aggressive manner by shouting, swearing and striking the vehicle.
On the same day he also assaulted the same police officer by kicking him on the body, and assaulted a female officer by kicking her.
Rooney, of Hyslop Road in Stevenston, pleaded guilty to four charges at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last month and was fined £440.
