KILBIRNIE’S Co-op staff have not said goodbye to their customers in the town after all, it’s been revealed.

While all of the staff at the store do not appear to have remained in their role, the store will be reopening next week - as a Nisa.

TJ Atwal, who owns Dunnings Premier in the town, confirmed the Co-op closure - for only two weeks so a refurbishment could take place.

The store is due to re-open around October 4 as Nisa Kilbirnie.

In the meantime, staff retained from the Co-op will be working at Dunnings Premier, where opening hours have been temporarily extended, with the store closing at 10pm rather than 8pm.
