POLICE Scotland have confirmed that they are treating an alleged incident in Kilbirnie as a “malicious call” after “nothing was ongoing”.
Officers were called to a property in Ballieston Avenue in the town on Friday afternoon, October 28, due to an alleged disturbance.
Local reports suggested that numerous vehicles were seen heading to the area of the alleged offence.
However, upon attendance, officers found there to be no such incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of an alleged disturbance at a property on Baillieston Avenue, Kilbirnie, around 12.45pm on Friday, October 28, 2022.
“Officers attended and conducted enquiries, however nothing was ongoing and the incident is being treated as a malicious call.”
